Kybella is an FDA-approved, nonsurgical treatment for reducing fat beneath the chin and improving the appearance of a double chin. Its active ingredient, synthetic deoxycholic acid, naturally helps the body break down dietary fat. When injected under the chin, Kybella destroys targeted fat cells, providing a noticeable and long-lasting reduction in fullness.

Most patients need 2–6 treatments spaced at least 4 weeks apart, depending on their goals. Once the desired result is achieved, further treatment is generally not expected for the treated fat cells.
